Short Bio
I was raised in the Pacific Northwest and competed in 4H, WAHSET, Open, and Breed shows in high school, several classes including reining, cutting, working rancher, stock seat equitation, trail, English and Western all-around. My senior year, I earned the cutting horse year end high point award in AQHYA before landing a scholarship to Oklahoma State University to ride on the NCAA Women’s Equestrian Reining Team for 4 years during which time I was Reserve Champion in Individual Reining in the nation. After college, I worked for a team sorting/penning trainer and really enjoyed the cattle but not the timed events. So, I moved to Texas where I started training, showing, and coaching in Stock Horse of Texas and NRCHA events. I won my first all-around Open Champion in 2012 in Lubbock through SHOT and from there I was hooked. In 2015, I won my first year-end high point saddle in Junior Horse and multiple show all-around champions and followed that in 2016 with another year-end high point saddle in Junior Horse on a different horse. In 2017, I won LO Bridle Champion in the NRCHA Wild Rag show and was Reserve World Champion in Ranch Riding at the APHA World Show. From there, I started doing more clinics and judged a few Open and 4H shows. Then, I worked on a cattle ranch and started training futurity horses for the Snaffle Bit and derby horses for the Hackamore classes at NRCHA. In 2021, I was Futurity Champion at STRCHA and LO Hackamore Reserve Champion. Then in 2022 while competing in a two-rein class, I had her person high score in the cow work under two judges marking a 149.5. Since moving back to the Pacific Northwest in 2023, my business shifted to more Versatility Ranch Horses but my passion for teaching and showing never wavered. I have earned multiple All-Around Ranch Horse Championships in Junior Horse, Green Horse, and Open. This year at the World Ranch Horse Association World Show, I was able to (finally) earn a World Champion Title (5 times), Reserve Champion Titles on two horses, and earn money in the futurity. Over the years, I have done several clinics on VRH classes all over the United States, and judged Open and 4H shows. I am currently working on getting my judges card with multiple associations to better my horses, clients, and the industry we are all passionate about.
